Academic Extension offers professional development opportunities, many including Professional Development Units (PDUs), Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and UO credit.
Professional Development for Educators
A selection of one and two-day workshops for educators to enhance learning for students. Workshops meet licensure requirements for K-12 educators; academic credit and Professional Development Units (PDUs) are available.
Professional Practice for Artists
A range of workshops for fine artists focusing on pragmatic questions, from external communication to exhibit strategies.
Sustainability Leadership Workshops and Certificate Program
A series of workshops that address the latest topics on sustainable economic, social, and environmental systems for both the public and private sector. Classes are offered in Portland and can be taken for non-credit and credit opportunities.
Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP)
Provides education and increases awareness in the areas of alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery. Topics of instruction are frequently updated to meet the ever-changing needs of those in prevention occupations. SAPP is recognized as an approved academic education provider through National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
Cooperative Educational Partnerships
The mission and academic assets of the University can be combined with the interests of external organizations through a variety of cooperative educational partnerships. UO Academic Extension offers a number of services and physical resources for facilitating such partnerships.
University of Oregon Alumni Association Discount
