Wendy Morgan is program manager for the University of Oregon Real Solutions and UO Professional Development for Educators programs of UO Academic Extension.
She holds a BA in early childhood education from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. She taught elementary school in Georgia and Oklahoma. Since moving to Oregon, she has worked as a teacher and tutor in a private elementary school and has volunteered and worked as a substitute at the University of Oregon Early Childhood CARES.
When she joined Academic Extension as a program developer, Morgan set out to create a way to bring the UO’s outstanding research and resources to local teachers in a model that would be engaging, accessible, and affordable. Her vision to put robust professional development online—while mitigating the typical issue of online learning “disconnect”—was realized in early 2016 with the launch of Real Solutions in Classroom Management.
Wendy is the vice president of the board of directors for the local creative writing group Wordcrafters in Eugene. She has lived in Oregon for seven years and loves the beautiful outdoors for hiking, biking, and camping.
