Margie Hanna is design manager for Academic Extension at the University of Oregon, where she provides leadership for the department creative team. Responsible for the creation and publication of department print and web media, she ensures department communications meet university and industry brand, technology, and accessibility standards.
Margie began her employment with the Continuation Center (now Academic Extension) in 2003, providing graphic design support services for all department communication needs.
With more than 26 years working in graphic design. Margie brings a broad range of professional experience to her work, including award-winning magazine design and production, application interface development, illustration, and product packaging. As a well-tested business manager and entrepreneur, Margie knows how to produce consistent and high-quality results. Her entrepreneurial skills stemmed from the successful design studio she owned and operated for 18 years, which served an international clientele.
Margie grew up in her parent’s print shop learning the ins and outs of offset printing from an early age. She enjoys multiple artistic pursuits along with gardening, hiking, horseback riding, and playing fiddle with her husband.
