Kurea Delgado is a registration coordinator for Academic Extension at the University of Oregon. She began working at Academic Extension—formerly the Summer Session office—in 2007. In her current position, Kurea provides student support services, including registration, for all credit and noncredit programs, student account management, and general student support. Kurea is also a department liaison between students and the Business Affair’s Office, the Registrar’s Office, and several other student account support offices at the University of Oregon.
Kurea earned her bachelor’s degree in general science from the UO in 2014, specializing in biology, chemistry, and human anatomy and physiology. As an undergrad, she served with the Lane County Forensic Pathologist’s Office where she assisted with autopsies, gathered trace evidence, and learned forensic postmortem photography. Kurea also volunteered for the Springfield Police Department as a part of their student internship program. Looking to the future, she would like to pursue a master’s degree in forensic anthropology.
Outside of the office, Kurea enjoys spending weekends at the racetrack with her husband, as both a spectator and race car driver. She also enjoys CrossFit, reading, and spending time with the family dog.
