Heather Fisher is the registration and payment services manager for Academic Extension at the University of Oregon. In this role, she works with program managers and clients to set up registration for their events, workshops, and conferences. She also maintains the confidential student information system database for Academic Extension. Additionally, Heather oversees and supervises the front office staff to ensure high quality customer service.
Heather began her employment with Continuing Education—now Academic Extension—as a student worker in the Conference Services group in the summer of 1994. A few months later, she was hired full time as a conference registration coordinator, working in that position until 1996. She then transitioned to AE focusing on registration services for noncredit, credit, and certificate programs. In 2006, Heather copresented at the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) Tri-Regional Conference with Sandra Gladney (currently AE executive director), and again in 2010 at the ACHE Conference in Salt Lake City.
Heather earned her BS in liberal arts from Excelsior College in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, and vacationing in Hawaii with her husband; she is also an avid Ducks fan.
