Candice Kramer is a learning strategist and instructional designer for Academic Extension at the University of Oregon. She began working for Academic Extension in September 2016.
Passionate about lifelong learning, Candice has been helping adults learn for more than 30 years. She is the author of Success in Online Learning, the first support text written to assist adult learners returning to college online, based on her own experiences as a distance learner, faculty member, and academic advisor.
Candice has served adult learners in a variety of academic leadership positions, notably directing prior learning programs, and has been a frequent conference presenter. As an independent consultant, she has developed e-learning programs for PBS Adult Learning Service, the U.S. Army, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Supreme Court, and others. Prior to joining Academic Extension, Candice was a program manager for Global Training & Development at Cisco Systems.
Among the first cohort to attain the premier certification of ATD (Association for Talent Development), the CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Development), she actively participates in efforts to ensure the currency of professional development for learning professionals. In her spare time, she enjoys bonsai, yoga, and exploring Oregon.
