Caitlin Snyder is the operations manager for Conference Services at Academic Extension. As part of the leadership team she evaluates and implements operational efficiencies, directs the exhibit and sponsorship management groups, and develops client and subcontractor relationships.
Caitlin started at the Continuation Center (now Academic Extension) in 1991 as a student employee. Graduating in 1993 from the UO with a BA in business administration, Caitlin joined the professional staff as a program coordinator in the exhibit management group. She developed expertise in tradeshow sales, corporate engagement, and event production, resulting in her advancement to lead the exhibits team and to serve more broadly as operations manager. While maintaining her position with AE, Caitlin completed her PhD in music theory in 2010 at the University of Oregon, receiving the UO Doctoral Research Fellowship for her work, and taught as an adjunct instructor at the School of Music and Dance. Caitlin plays a critical role in the success of Conference Services by developing creative sales programs, building effective production systems, and fostering innovation.
Outside work Caitlin is an avid scuba diver and scuba instructor, fitness and outdoor enthusiast, and history buff. She enjoys her family, and especially, traveling with her husband.
